This half term we have been learning about Pongy Plants. We have used our senses to explore different plants that have a strong scent such as mint, coriander, thyme, daffodils and hyacinths. In sensory play, we explored different seeds and soil and we planted radishes, nasturtiums and sunflowers. They have started to spout! (See below.) Our sensory story for this half term has been ‘Tiny Seed’.
In our cooking sessions, we made pancakes, some red nose biscuits, seeded bread rolls and flower biscuits.
In art and craft sessions, we made marks with different flowers and leaves, created daffodils using our hand prints and hyacinths by making marks with our fingers.
